Ubiquitination of I k B-alfa in basal conditions (A) and after proteasome blocking with 40 μM MG132 for six hours (B). Cytoplasmic extracts were immunoprecipitated for IkB-alfa and then analyzed by western blot using an antibody against ubiquitin. IgG H and IgG L indicate immunoglobulin heavy and light chains in the immunoprecipitates that cross-react with the secondary antibody.
