  1. SAT modules 4 and 8 correlate to HDL, and VAT module 9 correlates to glucose. The modules SAT 12, SAT 39, VAT 40 do not contain enough genes to perform a reliable pathway analysis. The modules correlated to gender in both tissues consist solely of Y-chromosomal genes and are not included in the table.
  2. Only biological functions that are over-represented in a module after Bonferroni correction are shown. For each over-represented biological function the number of genes in the module that belong to this biological function, and the corresponding Bonferroni corrected p-value for over-representation are shown. The number of genes that are part of a class which is not over- or under-represented, and the number of genes that could not be classified by PANTHER are also shown for each module ("other" and "unclassified" respectively). NA, not applicable; NS, not significant.
