Transcript expression rescued by insulin treatment. Several transcripts were also confirmed by qPCR to demonstrate a 'rescued' phenotype. For these transcripts the altered mRNA expression in diabetic animals at one month was still observed in diabetic animals at three months but insulin-treatment normalized the expression. The decreased expression Dcps, Kcne2, and Nppa was brought to equivalent expression levels as controls at the three month timepoint by insulin treatment.
