  1. Four previously-published microarray sets in the NCBI GEO database (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo) from different human blood cells were used to construct and validate our prediction model. Data set FH1 was chosen and used for our multi-gene model development. The other three sets---FH2, FH3, and ATHERO1---were used for evaluation of the atherosclerosis prediction model.
