  1. The P value indicates the likelihood of the focus genes in a network being found together as a result of random chance. Using a 99% confidence level, z-scores of 2 were considered significant. Significances for the enrichment of the genes in a network with particular biologic functions or canonical pathways were determined via right-tailed Fisher’s exact test and the whole database as a reference set. The same computation was used for gene ontology analyses of the initial gene list. The columns are arranged in descending order of z-score.
