Lines indicate the statistical outlier thresholds for the degree (vertical line) and betweenness centralities (horizontal line). These thresholds are used to categorize genes into hub-bottlenecks (high degree and high betweenness centralities), hub-nonbottlenecks (high degree), nonhub-nonbottlenecks, and nonhub-bottlenecks (high betweenness centrality).
