Several cellular processes were of interest including DEGs associated to metallothionein metabolism (B), Phase I and II enzymes xenobiotic metabolism (C), oxidative stress (D) and mucociliary clearance (E). Dotted line identifies the -1.5 log2 fold change cut-off, to help distinguish CFTR and SCCN1B log2 fold change which fell below -2 but was just above -1.5 (E). Significant DEGs were considered with log2 fold change > 2 or < -2 and adjusted p-value ≤ 0.05. *p ≤ 0.05, **p ≤ 0.01, ***p ≤ 0.001, ****p ≤ 0.0001
