Workflow of the study. Single-cell RNA sequencing of PBMCs from an H5N6-infected patient and a healthy control donor captured 16 cell populations that could be used for subsequent analysis. The correlation between cell populations is shown in the heatmap; in addition, differential gene expression analysis was performed to obtain differentially expressed markers for different cell populations.
